It’s so similar to our world and I truly think it’s insane. A quote from the book “just a few weeks earlier, she had made a decision, perhaps thoughtlessly,to tell Anne that one of her schoolmates, Bertha Betty bloemendal , had recently been rounded up in a raid and deported to Poland.” This story is so scary given every person that’s been deported including kids.
