He can get very violent. His most famous novel is "The Power of the Dog" which is about drug cartels. But good to know that his shorts are very readable!

Thanks, Karly and Thibault! It has been ages since a crime collection has hit the bull's eye for me. Perhaps because they are more about the characters than about their deeds... 😊

Oh, thanks for that warning, B! I need to tread carefully then. These stories weren't so violent, so I can find some of his books that are similar in intensity, it would be great.
