Every piece of conversational dialogue in this book feels like it was sent through a “millenialization” AI. I’m confused at the timeline too, we’re talking biplane rides for a picnic (July 1940 but then she mentions him flying a spitfire (august 1940)later, are we ww1 or ww2? Make up your mind Yarros. Feels like maybe the theme was an afterthought.

I cant tell if the audiobook is impacting my perception but uh yeah, this is certainly a book. Hoping the main person becomes a bit less cringe
