This is an extraordinarily ambitious book. It requires patience and a good memory! The first part of the book consists of short stories of each of the nine main characters lives. These are beautifully written and create vivid characters. You have to have patience as these character building pages are vital to the ensuing story where the characters beliefs and passions collide.
