I’m getting soooo sick of family members excusing abuse in these books. We just had a guy punch, burn, and threaten to rape our mc and when his “good” sister rescues mc from him she immediately excuses his actions and tells mc how she needs to understand and how he’s usually not so physical he just has a bit of temper. This is a dangerous precedent at this point

This mc just keeps getting dumber and dumber
