15 chapters done. I don't think there is a main character in this book. It seems to be about all the townspeople.

Constance and her daughter are interesting. The thoughts that run through her mind when she thinks of her that way, "she'll get hurt... she'll get in trouble... she'll get TALKED ABOUT!" (Ha! Very true.) It's good that she plans to warn her about what might be up ahead, if she does in fact go through with 'the talk'. They seem very different though, almost surprisingly so. hmmm just finished chapter 4 and i mean the truth is going to have to come out... isn't allison going to start asking questions like "why do i have no relatives on my father's side???" eventually she will twig that something isn't right

not really 10% done (because i skipped the long intro which no doubt would have spoilers) but i have read the first two chapters. it's okay so far. watched the pbs author documentary first (a lurid debut novel! dying at 39 from drinking too much!) and am suitably hyped for this. the ebook is 400+ pages so quite long, have fingers crossed it sustains my attention all the way through...
