So far the prose is very quick and doesn’t elaborate on character actions much, so your imagination has to fill in the gaps, which feels like it’s making the audience have to do the work a bit. Also either the author or translator is bad at breaking up repetitive uses of phrases - in the span of three paragraphs the author repeats the FMC lamenting about their broken engagement.
