the funny thing about reading this sort of book now that I'm a literal antarctic scientist is that the author will mention one of the guys he's working with on the James Clark Ross is 'Rob', and I immediately go 'Larter?'. and then because I work with British Antarctic Survey I have archive access and can find the cruise report. and I AM RIGHT!!! I know the exact cruise this chapter is about. I love science!!!!
