The Cock Down the Block is an easy, light read that doesn’t try to be more than it is. The story is fairly predictable, but it’s carried by a few genuinely funny one-liners and moments of sharp humor. Overall, it’s an okay book—entertaining in parts, forgettable in others, but not a bad way to pass the time.
