Just some last thoughts...my heart refuses to leave this series and this world behind...I love Kell and I love Lila and everyone else in this book...I am so thankful to the author and to myself for discovering this series!!

Another update...WHY DID HASTRA DIE NO NO NO NOOOOOOO HE WAS MY FAV SIDE CHARACTER AJSDDNWDUWND

“Isn’t it obvious?” said Kell. “He bought his sight.”
Alucard’s eyes narrowed. Lila’s widened. “Is that true?”
“No,” said her captain. “For your information, Master Kell, I’ve always
had this gift.”
“Then what?” pressed Lila.
“I bought my father’s death.”

(...anyways on a side note whenever I am reading I just imagine 6 people who are somehow related in a way forced on an adventure to fight a monster. It's sweet!)

“I was distracted by everything about you, Lila. I still am. You’re
maddening, infuriating, incredible.” She’d been teasing, but he clearly wasn’t... “I have never known what to make of you. Not since the day we met. And it terrifies me. You terrify me.” He cupped her face in both hands. "And the idea of you walking away again, vanishing from my life, that terrifies me most of all.”
