The life of Moses is a showing for patience. God called for Moses and the help of Aaron to free all of Egypt from the new Pharoah. God said it will be 400 years of famine and took 430 because of Jacob arriving to Egypt.

From the beginning of the bible to this point in 1 kings, obedience was a problem with the ones who lead God's will. No fear that Jesus is mentioned and the people of then didn't know.
