Adler posits that one's issues can be traced back to foundational moments in one's life. Not just the environment in that moment, but the emotions triggered by that environment. This further dictates how one tackles obstacles throughout their life, and whether one's early life prepared them for such endeavors. I'm interested to see how the remaining chapter expands upon this idea.
