Niel’s is still a whiny character. He wants Hallie back so bad but I think he’s slowly realizing he’s lost her. I hope he doesn’t do something stupid to try and win her back but I also hope he lives because he did save her from being killed by Loffer.

Glad Stowe and Zelda found each other again. But how do the cerls hovers work exactly. What makes them almost sentient.
I like how Kase is so devoted to his nephew and his first thought seems to be how do I protect him.
Zelda is a bit of a spit fire. Not sure how I feel about her insisting Kase address Hallie as Ms. Walker.

Holy hell, Alli Earnest has a way of lining everything up so that by the end of the book, everything should make sense. There are even chapters so far where I have had to close the book and just think back on the previous two books!

He's so stuck on this idea of how he wants her to be in his head that he can't see that she's changed. And when he does see that he tries to convince himself that she can go back to how she was. I get why and I do feel kinda bad, and he wants to marry her before he gets the fogs completely, but she needs to make things absolutely clear to him. I really hope things work with her and Kase, but with the way the books is going I know something is gonna go sideways.
