His first hypnosis for 12/26 was pretty creepy in how he describes the woman, his probe, the bang, and how he can even recall being abducted at 12 from a train trip w/ his family. Creepy

Whitley and Anne seem like the most troublesome people to be friends with. So dramatic, always moving & running away. Countless missing time episodes and more visitations/abductions. If any part of this is true, I feel bad for them, but it’s kind of hard to believe the amount of encounters has exponentially grown after a couple hypnosis sessions unlocking the past.

“The color of the dark - insights” was quite a slog of pondering & questioning. At this stage, his recalls are still fresh but the insights & questions are so naive that I don’t think their inclusion seems worth it. He hadn’t read anything until after the 12/26 hypnosis so any insights are just regurgitating what’s been read w/ his own spin w/o follow-up research. His experiences commentary is good though.

Annie recalling “cats scurrying” upstairs from Oct4 was creepy as hell since cats were in NYC. The hypnosis takes a few times to get answers but the alien is described a bit different from the cover. 4 races in total and the little doctors match the film a bit. Visions of the end of the world are creepy but his own fears and thoughts may be mixed in too.

Hate the page count. The intros are good, esp the 2022 foreword talking about the impact of initial release. I find the pleas to science to be too often and repetitive. The story itself though and the self-critical style to keep me engaged though, but I don’t need to hear about his confusion or denial on every page. He’s hooked up w/ Budd Hopkins & is being hypnotized by an outsider. Next are the transcripts!
