Reflection: Even when a sea of obstacles are before me and the enemy closing in behind—you never fail me.

Reflection: A pattern is emerging. From Joseph’s obedience to Israelites/Moses: obedience doesn’t always land you in a place of reward, but into a more rigorous situation. That doesn’t mean you got it wrong or God isn’t with you or you missed his divine memo. It’s not solely about YOU. It was about the Egyptians. It was about the butler in prison. It’s about God making himself known to others.

Exodus 3 reflection: Moses asks, “Who am I?” And the LORD responds—“I will be with you.” It don’t matter who you are. What matters is who God is and that he will be with you.

Job 42:2 “I know that you can do anything, and no one can stop you.”

Reflection: Suffering can skew our view of God. In the end we are like Job who says: “I take back everything I said” and repents.

Job 40:1-2 Then the Lord said to Job, “Do you still want to argue with the Almighty? You are God’s critic, but do you have the answers?”

Job 33:28 “God rescued me from the grave, and now my life is filled with light.”

“You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins.” Col. 2:13
