Cor wants to have his cake and eat it too. They got so lucky to get off on their charges and now he cant stop whining that he doesnt want to stay anywhere except the netherlands. Its a recurring theme, he cant be happy with what he has, he had a great life (landlord, owned speed boats, race horses) and still wanted more so decided to kidnap someone. And now he could have escaped multiple times but its not good enough
