Morgan Abigail Garza This is the book I have tried to read the most of the series! There is commentary about the driving force behind the elven race war against humans and how its residual group (the Squirrels) are being fueled by the North to their deaths... On the contrary, the dwarves see the deaths of their ancestors as better respected by continuing efforts to coexist. But there is also a tone of deep respect from Geralt (on both fronts).. and I often wonder what of this Polish author's own experiences drives his comments.

Luke Ocasio It is the first book that drives a linear plot. I am really enjoying it right now between my other reads. It's interesting to see how Geralt cares for Ciri. He isn't up to the task but hes trying. And there is a budding relationship as he fits into the role of his caretaker.

Morgan Abigail Garza Amazing, true! Triss' intervention and exposure of her budding womanhood is one of my favorite moments from her, although her character is massively flawed.

Luke Ocasio I know Triss does a LOT in this book to help this relationship grow. I actually missed her a lot she kinda showed up and disappeared in the previous books. I'm excited to see how Ciri grows up.
