The story just sort of hums along. The Light also gets the prophecy of the Grail and the Light goes down to the kingdom of Tethys—the ocean—to plead their case. I’m not a fan of the Drew kids getting mind-wiped to hide the secrets of the Old Ones.

It is lowkey infuriating that the Drew children are not to know what is the actual up with Will and the Old Ones but that’s par for the course with injecting tension into a story. The way this one just blasts right out it feels more like an episode of a TV series after two nice-sized pilots. Jane’s description of the Greenwitch is a superbly haunting moment.
