I assigned this it my AmblesideOnljne YR 10 students this year for a biography. I have wanted to read it for several years and am reading along behind them at a slower pace. My Jane Austen lover loved the book. The son who felt that he struggled with Pride and Prejudice because of a lack of understand the social setting found this book to be helpful in filling in the background of that time period.
