It's been quite long since I read a first person perspective book but the reading flow is quite nice. It's written super simply purposefully and you can tell it is from the main character's perspectives where the scenes jumble from past to present a little bit.
It's really fun to piece together what type of world this is and try to make guesses on what the handmaid's role in this.

The book is intriguing and I love how the author writes despite it not being the way I am used to, it is fun to connect the dots. Reconstructions, the way your brain reconstructs a memory, are used throughout the book. It reminds me of real life where your memories will highlight some certain parts but completely ignore others.

Chapter 11 was triggering, probably not the best book to read if you're sensitive to the contents of this book. I probably will keep reading because the part that triggered me was a minor part than the actual major part (which did not trigger me) but be careful if you want to read this book.
A section that I liked was when the main character stated that she knows tobbaco is bad but atleast before she had a choice.
