Classic Murakami. Working through the opera “Don Giovanni” in parallel with the main character and possibly their mirror in the story. More eerie than ‘Kafka on the Shore’, also more sexual off the get-go but seems to fit with the exploration of the story. Hints to Greek mythology, Buddhism, some mentions of cats and fish. More so in that ‘curiosity killed the cat’ kind of a vibe.
