I’m really enjoying it. There are so many themes about humanity, academia and the environment to consider. I especially like that the main character is a professor in the Humanities and is doing a content analysis study about the time period we live in - it resonates well with my own background and my interests. Looking forward to seeing if he finds the corona.

This book is connecting with me on several levels. I am halfway through Vivian’s journals and enjoying the dichotomy of tone between Thom and Vivian’s narration. The social science researcher in me really appreciates Thom’s experiences and insights. Contrast that with Vivian’s “private” journal entries reinforce the idea that we can never truly understand the past, despite all the tools we have.
