Once we got past the dirge of the poet’s story - which didn’t hit til the very bloody end of his tale - I was locked in. Each pilgrim has a tale worth listening to, so at this point I’m invested in this ending.

This has been on the back burner for too long and I’m struggling at the start after coming out of the fourth installment of Sanderson’s Stormlight Archive and juggling a few other books of differing genres. Maybe it’s a bit of whiplash for pacing but I’m still sat for this one.
