maybe i'm not meant to read books with like a long build up. like wheres the dying crops and the drama. all i've got so far is that i hate every man and this girl should be living in the forest

i don't really like when books take so long just to get to the main plot that the summary sells us on. like wdym we are just over a third of the way into the book and the failing crops and evil creatures of the forest haven't appeared yet.

i was told this would be like a fairytale and while it is written in the style of one, it's mostly just a historical book feat. a spirit or two so far
