Read this about 8 years ago. Plan to re-read before watching both movies again. Also need to check out more Thompson.

Good so far - I've only read one other Thompson book, Pop. 1280. I've seen the McQueen film but never the Baldwin-Basinger flick. Pretty sure I had the end of the book spoiled but Tarantino maybe in Cinema Speculation. There or somewhere else.

I lent my copy of Pop. 1280 and Best of Lansdale to my same buddy who moved to Ontario years back. Whenever I visit him, I try to remember to steal them back but always forget ;)

Yes, I wish I knew the art of taking back my own stuff better lol
