The plot sounded pretty interesting, and the cover is beautiful. But right off the bat I struggled with the writing. Everything felt rushed, the characters were inconsistent, and some events felt a little too convenient. People have complained about the first person POV. I actually didn’t mind that, and Aaron Smith did a great job with the audio book. I did not particularly enjoy the writing however.
