She has one more chance to stop referring to the neighbor as “Neighbor Paul (pre-shovel)” before I DNF this book. There’s something childlike in her writing style. I don’t usually quit but I’m getting close. Story line and character building is almost non existent. I’ll likely finish just to get closer to my 2026 goal but I’m not enjoying this. 🫥
