Caldé of the long sun: really a wonderful book, with all the hallmarks of Wolfe's earlier style deceptively obscured and presented in new ways. Despite past personal experience and general audience consensus bemoaning the endless tunnel sections, the plot in this book is like a runaway train. It's only majorly held back in my estimation by the way Hyacinth and Chenille are written. 3.5/5
