In Crenshaw by Katherine Applegate, pages 180 to 190 focus on Jackson’s shifting perspective regarding truth, imagination, and his imaginary cat. loves facts, spots an enormous talking cat surfing at the beach. He soon realizes it is Crenshaw, his imaginary friend from when he was in the first grade.The Rules of Imagination: Crenshaw insists he is back because Jackson summoned him. Crenshaw explains that imaginary friends only appear when they are needed and will stay until the child firmly tells them to go away. Jackson finds this impossible to do.

early in the morning my dad made me some pancake and they where perfrctly round and really juicy with surup after words we went to a tv shop and then as we where looking at the TV on my dads TV there where two normal broadcasters and on my TV there where a big fat cat who seemed to be looking straight at me and was waving and as soon as i saw it i told my dad about it do you see a cat in the TV and he said no.

After setting up signs on the road, my dad was starting to play guitar and sing. People at the traffic light started giving money when the lights went red, but when it was green, they just nodded and drove past. After doing that for a while, we finally found an apartment 40 miles away from the place we used to live, and I had to start at a new school and make new friends.

Even if they where homless, they still got food at their mom's first work place it was at a restaurant, and they also figured out a way to make money by starting a singing band, like in their parents' old days

eventually we became homeless and started living in our minivan, and we started asking our parents why we were sleeping in the car, my parents were so embarrassed, and mom said we are having quality family time in the van.

eventually, the family went broke and had to move out of the house and into their small van i new we was getting brok but i dident say anything instead i asked my parets why we moved from a beautiful house to a van and from the van about to move to an apartment, mom said apartment are bettr too its just like the house we used to live in.

The boy didn't really want his imaginary friend Crenshaw to stay back with him, and he told the cat i dont need you and the cat's reply was you brought me here, so you have to send me back and that question broke the cat's heart that the boy didn't need him

As the cat came closer i saw that the cat was bigger and with more fur, just like a big tiger he asked me if I had some Oreo jelly beans, and i said purple jelly beans are my favriout and he lookd at me and siad dident you forget you created me when you where in seventh grade then i said thats good so i can uninvent you.
