I don’t mind the past and present aspect, I quite enjoy the back story! Buuuuttttt, she’s 15 turning 16…and I know in this book 16 is “legal age,” and she’s an “adult” bc she’s a siren but it still doesn’t feel right and gives me the ick.

I dunno how I feel about this. I saw my favorite author rated it 4/5 stars and thought “oh if she liked it, it must be a good book!”
I feel like I’ve already committed this far, that i should probably just finish it and hope for the best
