okay i’m reading this purely to see if the haters have a point or if they’re just homophobic. i’m only one chapter in and michael has explained that he thinks he is a ‘sinner’ because of his sexual behaviour and talks multiple times about how he has to keep his love for francesca a secret because it is not allowed, yet he wishes it could be… it’s looking like homophobia to me

no beef with the book thus far. in the show they’re going to gender-swap francesca’s love interest, and it’s angered a lot of people online. so i’m just reading to see if the love interest being a man is crucial to the story, or if they’re being homophobe losers who don’t wanna see two women in love
