I understand why this is a classic. It’s as though the characters act upon all the intrusive thoughts I had as a child. It’s fun to see how these things play out in this world. It’s also just so refreshing to remember when childhood was filled with chaos and being outdoors.

The 1800s Southwestern written accent is taking some getting used to. I feel so scholarly reading a classic such as this
