"You shall have no other gods before me." Michael's anger grew. "When have I worshiped anyone but you? I've followed you all my life. I've never put anyone before you." Hands fisted, he wept. "I love her, but I never made her my god." In the calm that followed his angry torrent of words, Michael heard, and finally understood. "You became hers." This is such a powerful realization. She needs to get right with God.

#4: not mean enduring the suffering forever, but rather means that eventually love calls someone out of the suffering. Calls them to a life of fullness and purpose. God sees that Sarah is ready to be called higher. God is asking Michael to let her go so that he can finish redeeming his child. Sarah is familiar with suffering and pain. She believes it’s all that she is worth.
