This vaudeville is… quite a departure in tone from the first trilogy and the beginning of the book. I don’t quite know how to feel about it.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, Nighteyes might be my favorite character of the series. There’s a wholesomeness to him that just grips me by the heart

Am I the only one bothered by Fitz having to mascarade as the Fool’s valet and the Fool making it suspiciously real ?

I don’t understand this squalor that Fitz is living in. If I’d given my life for the crown, I would expect to at least have enough money that my foster child can do whatever apprenticeship he damn pleases. What the actual hell.
