I love how Hugh is desperately trying to ignore all possibility that he is capable of having feelings for Minerva. Minerva happens to be blind to Hugh's feelings, I think that is in part due to her having to step into a role of responsibility so young. The fact that they both have complicated family histories gives them more depth and I'm assuming that will contribute to their relationship growth going forward.
