this was def darker at some parts though

two stars for this book

and a flat three for the series as a whole

i suppose i’ll be generous and put them on my memorable shelf

it’s such a fucking shame this turned out the way it did

such a waste of fucking potential

it made me itchy for more psycho characters
the ones here were passable but ultimately fucking pussies
literally

all they did was fuck and it got boring quick
wasn’t even hot

it barely could be called smut in my book

whenever i get to writing my stories finally
these books will def be on the list to skim read again

if nothing else
i can say that the dialogue and quips were good

mostly
i’m just glad this is over now

this was a lame ass ending

i’m not surprised

ive been disappointed since book one with all its issues
ones that continued in this book

i thought this was a trilogy
i saw three books but didnt even glance close enough to read the third book was actually an omnibus of these two books

i wonder if it would’ve changed my reading experience if i’d known this was a duet basically

almost a hundred pages left and ive been ready for this to be over

i think it’s a mix of general boredom of this slow ass story

and all the sex maybe

it’s repetitive and overdone

nothing is shocking anymore

not much is amusing

prob was the same for the first book
a handful of funny or interesting lines and scenes
but ultimately forgettable

maybe creative is more apt

i’m more jaded than i used to be

which also unfortunately means not much surprises me anymore

still an obvious lack of editing

plot is meh

it’s very slow going

and my mind keeps wandering

honestly i thought it was going be a reveal that the fmc is the daughter of the devil
but ig not bc alistair is him?? 🥱 and this book may claim it’s dark but i’m almost disappointed it didn’t go that dark based off the crap it already pulled with the illusionary body gore and horror
as that devolved into lust bc of the fmc
and then she twice now was put off by his hellhound fucking her
