Good two novellas, I enjoyed them both!

[Adam and James just woke up]
“Good morning, sunshine.” Kenji blinks in our direction.
“Morning,” I say back.
“I wasn’t talking to you,” he says, trying to smile. “I was talking to the sunshine.”

Someone needs to get Adam a bar of soap and shove it in his mouth, this dude cusses like a freaking sailor. Warner’s lack of curse words in Destroy Me made me hope this one wouldn’t have much cussing, but they’re different characters and Warner is so much more sophisticated, sooooo

James stares at me.
“I said, Do you understand me?” I walk right up to him, grab his arm.
James flinches a little. “Yes,” he whispers.
