Honestly so far, this book is making me so uncomfortable, so blatantly romanticising paedophilia and grooming. I get that it starts in ancient times, but it acknowledged in the beginning that certain things going on are horrific and cruel (i can accept the writing about it in that context). But then suddenly it's all okay because Marius rescued Armand bought him some pretty clothes and jewellery.
