Love the descriptions of Elektra. So compelling.
Telemachus is right to character naive and young. I’m finding him evermore annoying. The character on Kenomon is very interesting. As kind as he is I feel like he is still hiding something. Again having Hera as narrator enriches so many more fun details.

The intricacies are so fun in this book. I must admit the names are so hard to remember and pronounce but I still love it. The subtlety of Penelope especially is the best. I also love the writing of Hera as the narrator adding in small tidbits to everyone’s thinking without feeling out of place. So far, so fun with the constant underlying tension.

I love that the Narrator is Hera. North is so descriptive and really captures the stoic culture of Ancient Greek culture. The subtleties are also very interesting. Especially with the story of Penelope and her tenuous situation waiting for Odysseus.
