Restarted after buying a physical copy.
Makes a wonderful companion piece to The Warmth of Other Suns. The aftershock of the great migration, a northern city not prepared for an influx of people and here's the next phase of that. Industrial plants - plants once operated in large part by black migrants - begin to close and the city shrinks and the people suffer.
This book is very taxing.

It's easy to think about poverty in abstract but Evicted really defines what it looks like. Difficult to read, very empathetic across the board.
