Now that I'm in the section of the book that is comparing different Bible passages, it does feel a bit glib and "look at this absolute nonsense people cherry pick." It feels like a mix of a comedian's bluntness with the anger of wanting alt-right people to sit the f down. Knowing the big Bible passages people use is helpful in general. But personally I think scripture fighting is a flawed approach in general.

Yeah the audio is mandatory for this one. I really appreciate the comedy of this book. It's really refreshing to have a book that is equal parts pointing at the very impactful essence of the gospels while also poking fun at the weird inconsistencies and narrative choices of other parts of the Bible. It's an approach to Christianity that just feels so much more alive and real. Good ideas so far.

Highly recommend the audiobook. The author adds a lot of emotion to the narration.
