I started reading ahead because its kind of boring when my class reads out loud. its fun, but it gets to a point. i HATE ela classes. they trivialize reading, yknow? when they teach you in school they give you formats and templates and make it so that there's only one way to answer, which makes sense when you're teaching stuff, but reading isnt math! there aren't formulas that always get you to the same answer!!!!

reading this for lit & comp- walter had me real mad. he blames the women in his life for the poverty they live in, and he thinks they're making things harder. everyone hates the person they shouldn't. bennie is young and lacks perspective, she's not in a position to have all these expensive hobbies. ruth is freaking struggling and everyone is upset with her, but she makes so many sacrifices.
