I loved Kristoff’s Empire of the Vampire so I’m going to give this one another try. I hope I like it enough to finish the series this time.

Can anybody tell me if the extra stuff at the bottom of the pages is important….? Sometimes you have to read a page or 2 ahead to finish it then go back to continue the story. I’d like to just skip it but don’t know if it’s important… it’s weird.

Can anybody explain what’s happen at the bottom of the pages? Please?
Some of it makes me read ahead a page then I have to flip back a page to pick up where I left off with the actual story….? Do I have that right…? Why isn’t all that info integrated into the story?

The foot notes aren’t too bad. I read most of them but every now and then I’ll skim one. The Author explained it as a way to breaking the fourth wall. Hearing him explain it like that helped me get into it a little more. I watch an interview with Jay Kristoff the other day. He is actually a fav of The Vampire Diaries. I was surprised but I love that he is a fan.
I only bring it up because of his Empire books. They aren’t a teen romance style vampire story. It was kinda cool to hear he was a fan of the TV show. I guess the guy who plays Clause is a huge fan of his Empire books. Idk it’s kinda cool!
I know the foot notes were a hurdle last time, so I'm glad they aren't as bad now with you're new perspective! Haha oh wow that's honestly so fun that he's a fan of The Vampire Diaries! And that Klaus's actor is a fan of his vampire books xD! It's cool when worlds can collide like that!
