I don’t think I’m going to finish this book. It’s not a genre I typically read, it’s long, and honestly my vocab is not up to par with the 1930s, sometimes European, sophisticated dialogue. I was hoping it would be worth the challenge. But after more than one instance of, in my opinion, unnecessary uncomfortable sexual imagery, I don’t think it’ll be worth the read for me.
