“I am who I am” in Hebrew is ehyeh-asher-ehyeh.
Ehyeh means “I am.”
Yahweh means “he is.”
Which is why … when God says his own name, it’s ehyeh but when we say Gods name, it’s Yahweh. (Pg 44-47)
Such an incredible idea.
He is! He is! The compassionate and gracious God, slow anger, abounding in love and faithfulness… HE IS! (Yahweh)
He says “I am, I am” and we say “He is! He is!”
