From the author of EINSTEIN’S DREAMS, which I was both frustrated and intrigued by. The intrigue won out and I sought out a second book by the same dude. Like E.D., MR G is pretty short. I’m still hung up on how time works. As in the last book, his description of entities living without time makes no logical sense. I’m trying to just go with it, though, and enjoy the overall story.

I’m at the halfway point and it feels like a halfway point—like an Act has ended and the next is going to begin. There’s been some of the gorgeous poeticism of EINSTEIN’S DREAMS here, but not so much as I’d hoped. On the other hand, it IS making me think about… well, you know. Life, the universe. Everything.
