chapter three

i skimmed this far and i’d already wanted to dnf early on in the first chapter

christ this is going to be a chore to read

i hate this style of storytelling
boring as hell.

i’m about to try to find some spoilery reviews
anything but chapter page skim reading or skipping to the end

i gave you two whole chapters to hook me but all you did was bore me to tears

i did not enjoy this.

i can’t even think of one scene i actually enjoyed
nothing stood out
none of it was captivating to me as a reader

if i had to choose
it was whats her face
the modern day woman at the asylum
the crazy one that knew about the past and killed enema
which is a horrendous name.

i ended up reading most of that

i still skimmed and skipped A LOT
mainly the scenes where they were separated
all the hospital stuff
the war stuff

did i buy into their love
their relationship
no not really

i barely tolerated the journey to get there at the end

christ this was a bore
but somehow i got through

mainly though
this was a fucking disappointment to read

the reviews for this book weren’t promising

but in other good news
now that in assured by many that this is a shit book

i feel justified in this being a dnf

ive had a full handful of these lately
and doing good with not giving a fuck

i continue to refuse to force myself to slog through shit writing
