Look, it may be juvenile, but I’ve been taking a “what they don’t know can’t hurt me” approach to this whole “I married a famous Swedish hockey player and have joint custody of his niece” thing. By not telling them I married Henrik, I get to spare myself the pain and humiliation of all the women in my life telling me I’ve made a terrible mistake.

And now we're using miscommunication as the plot driver. Great. Super fun for me. A person who despises miscommunication in stories. So glad someone recommended this book to me. (You're dead to me.)

Wait. How tf are we getting this dumb ESPN interview scene before we get a scene of Teddy telling his mother and sisters??

She means me. I’m what will go away. Henrik getting clear of this mess means getting clear of me. And apparently, he can’t fucking wait.

This one's a real rollercoaster for me: One minute I'm really enjoying it, the next minute I am just absolutely frustrated by this plot. I sure hope it evens out to just being enjoyable at some point.
