Okay this is a good book however…..!!! I’m in part 3 and the way he wrote female characters comes across as “womanhating”. From the way the winston describes every woman he comes across, (disgusting btw)the women of the party, to the portrayal of julia. I think it might be intentional given that they live in a society where the erotic is suppressed or maybe it’s a book that came out in the 1940s
