i honestly don’t understand how i have hated a main character so much who is a man, also hated the writer for how he has portrayed and spoken about women, and yet somehow read one of the most beautiful paragraphs in responding to guilt i have ever read. make this make sense please

as this was written in 1939 i am having to bite my tongue on some things. but wow this is a great study of a napoleon complex in an early 20’s male writer. at the moment it seems like men have not changed from 1939 until now!
